Texapon N70 หรือ N70 มีชื่อทางเคมีว่า Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate เป็นสารประเภท สารลดแรงตึงผิวประจุลบ มีคุณสมบัติในการทำความสะอาดได้ดีทำให้เกิดฟองได้เร็ว Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate(SLES) มีชื่อ INCI Name คือ Sodium laureth Sulfate เป็นสารคนละตัวกับ Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS)นะ สังเกตง่ายๆ ตรงที่มี E ซึ่งหมายถึงผ่านการ Ethoxylation โดยนำสารตั้งต้น คือ SLS มาทำปฎิกิริยากับ ethylene oxide ภายใต้แรงดัน และความร้อนสูง + catalyst ผลที่ได้คือ ได้ surfactant ที่ระคายเคืองน้อยกว่า SLS จึงเอามาใช้เป็นผลิตภัณฑ์ทำความสะอาดร่างกายได้ดีกว่า ในขณะที่ SLS ที่มีความสามารถในการชะล้างไขมันสูง จึงเอาไปใช้ในผลิตภัณฑ์ซักล้างมากกว่า

การนำไปใช้ สามารถใช้กับผลิตภัณฑ์ทำความสะอาดผิวได้ เช่น แชมพู ครีมอาบน้ำ สบู่เหลว น้ำยาล้างจาน เป็นต้น โดยสารชนิดนี้จะไม่ละลายเมื่อใช้ความร้อน และจะเกิดการข้นขึ้นเมื่อผสมเข้ากับเกลือแกง (Sodium Chloride)

Texapon N 70 มีความเข้มข้นประมาณ 70 เปอร์เซ็นต์ เป็นสารชำระล้างราคาถูกที่นิยมใช้ในผลิตภัณฑ์ชำระล้างแทบทุกชนิด ตั้งแต่สบู่เหลวไปจนถึงน้ำยาล้างห้องน้ำ มีตัวที่เจือจางกว่าเป็นสารกลุ่มเดียวกันได้แก่ Texapon N 8000 มีความเข้มข้นประมาณ 28 เปอร์เซ็นต์ ปัจจุบันมีรายงานเกี่ยวกับการก่อการระคายเคือง ตลอดจนการเป็นสารที่อาจก่อมะเร็ง หากผสมกับสารอื่นๆ ในสูตรเคมี ที่ก่อไนโตรเจน จึงจำเป็นอย่างยิ่งที่ผู้ผลิตผลิตภัณฑ์ต่างๆ ต้องมีความรู้ในสารเคมีแต่ละชนิดที่จะนำมาใช้อย่างถูกต้องและมีความรอบคอบในการตั้งตำรับ และผลิต โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งความสม่ำเสมอ และความแม่นยำของน้ำหนักสารแต่ละตัวในสูตร

Texapon N70 is a highly concentrated anionic surfactant composed of Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate (SLES), commonly used in a wide range of personal care and household cleaning products. It is a thick, viscous paste with excellent cleansing, foaming, and emulsifying properties.

SLES is produced through ethoxylation of Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), resulting in a milder surfactant that is less irritating to the skin—making it a preferred choice for shampoos, body washes, liquid soaps, and other skincare cleansers. It is distinctly different from SLS; the presence of "ether" (ethoxylate groups) improves skin compatibility while maintaining strong detergency.
